Gentle peddlers can meander along quiet country lanes passing through our extraordinary villages whilst mountain bikers can dart off road towards the rugged terrain of the Forest of Bowland.
Challenging Gisburn Forest
Test your limits to the max at Gisburn Forest, one of the newest and most challenging mountain biking centres in the country.
Steer round the newly improved waymarked trails, opened in 2009, including an easy 8km 'blue' route for families and beginners, and a 22km 'red' course for the more experienced and daring cyclists!
Gisburn Forest is the largest forest in Lancashire, with existing and newer routes flowing around its forest roads and wilder terrain. The trails, set in the incredible backdrop of the Forest of Bowland, include tricky downward and boardwalk sections overlooking the fine views of the Stocks Reservoir
