Fishing

Chill out on the banks of the rivers and various still waters in Ribble Valley for a truly relaxing break.

With a large stretch of the River Ribble ambling through Ribble Valley intertwining with the River Hodder and River Loud, passing small reservoirs and still waters, there are plenty of opportunities to cast your line and enjoy coarse and trout fishing.

Visitors are welcome at the North West's largest fly fishery at Stocks Reservoir, lying within the Forest of Bowland offering tuition, a tackle shop and cafe. Whilst some hotels and B&B's also offer fishing permits to their residents.

Please call into the Clitheroe Visitor Information Centre to enquire about Fishing Permits or Rod Licences.
