Ribble Valley Mayor enjoys Spooky Halloween Fun on the Farm

Ribble Valley Mayor, Cllr Lois Rimmer, had a spooky, fun-filled evening at Scare Kingdom Scream Park’s VIP Preview Night. Scare Kingdom Scream Park opens to the public on Friday, Oct 22.

Ribble Valley Mayor, Cllr Lois Rimmer, had a spooky, fun-filled evening at Scare Kingdom Scream Park’s VIP Preview Night.

Thousands of tickets have already been sold for the Halloween scream park, which opens to the public this Friday, October 22, but invited guests and dignitaries enjoyed a sneak preview on Friday, October 15.

Ribble Valley Mayor, Cllr Lois Rimmer, donned wellies to enter the eerie cornfield attraction, Unhallowed Hill, which was riddled with a hoard of creepy characters, special effects and chilling Halloween horror noises.

Afterwards the Mayor and other unsuspecting guests entered the darkened passageways of Tingler’s Toy Factory where twisted clown, Hugo Tingler, houses a frightening feast of creepy toys.

A third evening attraction, Hellfire Hall, was a real creeper for the Mayor, as she made her way around the blackened, terrifying corridors and strobe light-lit chained maze of Lord Dashwood’s home where a scary, electric-fying surprise was in store.

Ribble Valley Mayor, Lois Rimmer, said: “AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group and Amanda and Eric Dowson have done a great job at creating Scare Kingdom Scream Park which is a fantastic place for Halloween entertainment.

“It is superb that Scare Kingdom Scream Park is located in the Ribble Valley as it provides great entertainment for local people and helps to attract visitors from further afield.”

The Mayor ‘recovered’ from her terrifying ordeal with a barbecued meal and enjoyed light refreshments in the Wicked Witch Cafe.

Creepy street theatre characters continued the entertainment and she was mesmerised by the changing faces of The Possessed Painting and the smoke-filled eerie noise of The Cauldron waltzer.

Jason Karl, creative producer of Scare Kingdom Scream Park, said: “More than 100 dignitaries, press and invited guests attended our VIP Preview Night and the evening was a great success.

"The feedback we received on the night was very positive and many of our invited guests have since booked tickets to come back to the park when it opens on Friday."

Scare Kingdom Scream Park opens to the public on October 22 and runs on dates until November 6 inclusive.
