Whalley Pickwick Festival

Whalley Pickwick Festival returns for its 22nd year (with a new name) on Thursday 2 December 2010 promising to be even bigger and better than before.
Whalley Pickwick Committee would like to express gratitude to Whalley Chamber of Trade and many other supporters of this event, who earlier this year, came to its’ aid and raised funds for it to go ahead again this year. The First Whalley Fashion Show, held at Mitton Hall raised £1,700. And many other people donated funds.
In its 22nd year, the newly named ‘Whalley Pickwick Festival’ will be bigger and better than previous years with entertainment, late night shopping and interesting gifts and foods on sale throughout the evening, with something for everyone this is one of the Ribble Valley’s Premier Events. Whalley Pickwick Festival will be held on Thursday 2nd December 2010 from 6pm to 9pm with entertainment along King Street in Whalley.
The Opening of the event will take place on the Stage at the bus station at 6pm with special guests, choirs and music throughout the evening. Whalley Pickwick Committee continue to support local charitable and good causes throughout the year.
Neil Martin, Whalley Pickwick Committee Chairman said ‘We are delighted to present this event once again in Whalley, we would like to thank everyone involved including Whalley Chamber of Trade, Local Businesses and Individuals who have come forward this year to make this event happen. I personally would like to thank the committee who dedicate their time all year on the planning and success of this fantastic local event. Last year we believe we had 5,000 people through the village, we welcome all to come and join in’.
