DESCRIPTION:This year's Clitheroe Town Wells Conservation Campaign (CTWCC) 
 contribution to Heritage Open Days will link our three pre-Norman well sit
 es to other local key sites.\n\nThis guided walk will explore Clitheroe's 
 ancient former Public Town Wells\, Clitheroe Castle and St Mary Magdalene
 ’s Church.\n\nThe walk offers more than scenic views. It’s a living na
 rrative of Clitheroe’s geological backbone and cultural soul—linking m
 edieval water sources\, ecclesiastical heritage\, and resilient community 
 stewardship.\n\nThe route has been carefully curated to engage both local 
 residents and visitors with stories that span centuries\, from pre-Norman 
 springs to Victorian expansion.\n\nEvent Details:\nStart Point: Clitheroe 
 Castle (assemble outside the Castle Museum)\nDate: Saturday 13th Sept.\nTi
 mes: 10.00am and 2.00pm\nDuration: About 90mins to 2hrs\nFree event. Tour
