 the Heritage Open Days 2025 theme of architecture. Our display will explor
 e buildings of special architectural and historical interest in the Longri
 dge Conservation Areas.\nLearn about the history of the Longridge Co-Opera
 tive Industrial Society store which contributed to cultural life in Longri
 dge with its reading room\, library and concert hall.\nDiscover the story 
 of the twenty inns and alehouses built to serve the farmers\, quarry worke
 rs and mill hands of Longridge.\nStep back in time with a look at the form
 er cinema which started life as a weaving shed in the 1860s before transfo
 rming into a music hall\, roller skating rink\, cinema\, and bingo hall.\n
 Enjoy a multi-media display of photographs of buildings and structures inc
 luded in the Longridge blue plaque scheme.\nOur children’s craft activit
 ies will have an architectural theme.
