It’s all aboard for our children’s competition hunt this month. Your young museum explorers can search for runaway toy trains hidden around the museum. Enter our competition for a chance to be the winner of a goody bag of great souvenirs from our shop. There’s train-tastic crafts too. Decorate a ceramic train for £1.50 plus free activity sheets and a cosy reading corner to enjoy.
Love trains? There’s our railway exhibition to explore too. “On Track: A Glimpse into Lancashire’s Railways Past and Present” is free to visit in the Steward’s Gallery until 31 January. See toys, artefacts and photographs. There’s puzzles and games too.
Museum admission does not apply to take part in crafts. During January Clitheroe Castle Museum is open Friday to Tuesday 12 noon – 4pm. (closed Wednesday/Thursday). Adults £5.40, Concessions £4.10, Accompanied children FREE!, Young people (aged 13 – 18) FREE!
