Clitheroe Clogfest Day of Dance

Clitheroe Clog Weekend is back! Join clog dancers from near and far for a day of music, colour and merriment in the beautiful market town of Clitheroe.
Dancing begins at Clitheroe Castle at 10.30am and continues there throughout the day. The teams will also make their way through the town, performing in Market Square and other selected locations.
As the largest gathering in the Lancashire clog dancing calendar, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience this unique traditional dance. For the full programme please see below.
- Dancing at the Castle: – 10.30am, 12.45pm, 1.30pm, 2.15pm
- Dancing at the Market: – 11.45am – 12.30pm, 1-1.30pm, 2.15 – 3.00pm
- Dancing at Holmes Mill: – 11.45am – 12.30pm
- Mass Dance finale: – 3.00pm – 4.00pm at the Market
Wet Weather Plan: If it rains, all dance teams will perform inside the Atrium at the Castle.

Clog maker Phil Howard will be at Clitheroe Castle throughout the day. Phil makes the whole clog, sole and uppers as well as cutting his own shods, heels and brass toe tins so be sure to call in and see some beautiful examples of a traditional British craft.
