Clitheroe & Ribble Valley villages host one of the UK’s premier jazz festivals over the early May Day Bank Holiday weekend. Ribble Valley Jazz & Blues 9th Annual Jazz Festival presents a broad based feast of jazz, with a touch of blues, soul, funky music. It features top international and UK musicians and bands, appearing at first class venues, including The Grand, Holmes Mill, and another 20 accessible hotels, restaurants, wine bars, clubs and pubs. Visitors can enjoy indoor & outdoor, ticketed and free gigs, and workshops & presentations over 5 days whilst enjoying a whole range of wonderful shops, restaurants and visitor attractions in a market town that is surrounded by the Forest of Bowland, and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you are a day or staying visitor, you are sure of a big welcome, and a chance to thoroughly enjoy some brilliant music from over 500 musicians, 55 bands, and twenty classy venues.
