Slay Boredom! – a weekend at Clitheroe Castle with Academie Glorianna

Join Academie Glorianna, experts in historical swordsmanship, for an action-packed St George’s weekend. Watch combat demonstrations, handle weapons and listen to bitesize talks. Simply drop into this free event and enjoy.
The full programme will run on both Saturday and Sunday:

• 11.15am Bitesize talk – Meet the experts Academie Glorianna
• 11.30am Combat demonstration – The Backsword
• 12:30pm Bitesize talk – Swords and their Symbolism
• 12:45pm Combat demonstration – Two-handed Swords
• 1.45pm Bitesize talk – Early Swords
• 2.00pm Combat demonstration – The Sword and Buckler
• 3.00pm Bitesize talk – Later Swords
• 3.15pm Combat demonstration – The Longsword
